Saving your money since 1980.
My grandfather used to smoke Golden Virginia Rolling Tobacco and would buy these tins because they were convenient for storing screws, nuts, bolts, or my grandmother's buttons. They were also great for holding pocket money if you were saving for holidays or something special.
I managed to save a few hundred pounds in them, and it was always thrilling to count the money at the start of the holidays.
I still have one where I occasionally drop in some cash. Some might ask, "Why not use a bank? You'd earn more interest." The issue is, in the event of a major financial crash or a bank hack, withdrawing money can become impossible. At least I'll have some cash on hand for my family and me in case of an emergency.
